Incredible brunello. Epitome of a young brunello. Violet ruby color with dark cherries and plums with touches of spice, aromas of forest floor and Great integrated tannins. Complex and it evolves beautifully in the glass. Definitely a drink now wine or ageworthy. The essence of sangiovese. Definitely one to try again and again. — 21 days ago
Well, I didn’t pay, which makes a difference. What can I say? It tasted amazingly young, clean and complex, red fruit driven, sour cherries, forest, cranberries, on the ripe side, yet a remarkable acidity held it all together. I would drink that any time, anywhere with a wide smile on my face. — a day ago
When you see DRC on the label it’s difficult not to have preconceptions. The nose pops with red cherries ,stems and spice. The palate is hit with weighty red and black fruit which carries a healthy dose of acid. Surprisingly lacked the complexity and finish I was hoping for from a vintage like this let alone the producer. — a month ago
Cherry confit nose with balsamic violets. Soy attack. Some energy and firm tannin (from oak?). Beautiful finish. — 7 days ago

2005 vintage. Great fill and cork. Decanted and tasted after two hours. Small amount of chunky and powdery sed. Nose a bit musty but never funky during a high decant. Medium-heavy body. Tremendous power throughout. Can easily go another two decades. Still packing the signs of youth such as individual flavors easily evident vs melded/integrated ones. Tasted more like a 2020 vintage. Was hoping for more black tea, espresso, orange citrus peel, soy sauce notes (and there were some). This one's gonna need a bigger boat...er...another 7-8 years or a 5 hour decant to shed some of that overt power in a trade off for nuance. Delicious in its own way but not easy.
