Slight brown tinge. Very light in color. See picture. Between the 16’ and the 18‘ this is the lesser vintage. Plenty of acidity and tannins left. Seems tight and austere upon opening. Lime, cranberry and some red currant. Would drink this with asian food. Give it 1 hour of air. — 5 months ago

Langhe Nebbiolo 2022
Popped and poured; enjoyed over a couple of hours. The 2022 pours a garnet color with a transparent core. Medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is youthful with notes of pomegranate, cranberry, strawberry and raspberry compote, red flowers, and gravely minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium and just a touch hot. Not the most memorable Langhe Nebbiolo from Produttori in the last decade or so but it’s totally authentic and still a great value. Drink now and over the next 5-10 years. — 6 months ago

Medium Ruby with ripe berry fruit flavors, some tea, floral and spice notes. On the palate flavors of cherry, cranberry and raspberry with earthy herbs and citrus notes. Fine integrated tannins on medium+ finish ending with fruit and earthy character. Nice! — 5 months ago

Medium ruby , garnet rim, touch of terracotta rim . Slightly dusty , animal touch , with leather , spicy and herbal , soy , iodine . On the palate quite strict , grafite , slightly more red fruit , cranberry , then blackcurrant and grafite . Slightly dusty dry tannins , balanced acidity . Slightly spicy , mineral , grafite tinged finish . This needs a bit of time to open but shows quite well , slightly herbal , and perhaps lacks a little charm , but is quite classic in style if not a great 1985. From now and over the next 10 years . On the night this was probably only ahead of the 1977 , and my least favourite of the 1980s vintages . — 22 days ago
