. This Garys did not disappoint; loaded with fruit, flowers and spice notes all around. Taste had the same and a bit of cola and some minerality. Very smooth finish just a very enjoyable wine.
Last bottle of Garys, in fact no more Rosella and Pisoni either. Always thought the Garys’ were the best. Rosella were okay and forget about the Pisoni. Pisoni were either so over the top it was undrinkable and then another bottle was stunning - stopped buying them early on. Still have a bunch of Roar’s Sierra Mar and SLH. But over all, prices too high and I’m too old to hold wines for 5 to 10 years before drinking them. — 3 months ago
Our friend described this as forest floor. Did have wet forest smells along with mushrooms, dry blackberry and raspberry with a slight musty funk. Felt like this bottle was just a touch sweeter (not dessert wine sweet just that the dark fruit had fermented a bit more). Good wine. — 5 years ago
I can’t believe I stopped buying this. Most underrated and best value CA Chard out there. You need to try this! Rich, complex, and just fits my palate. — a day ago

Still a great vintage and could have many more years to go. — 6 months ago
Very light in color with a meaty strawberry licorice nose. Just lovely sweet tannins and plushness on palate but with enough acidity to keep it light on its feet. Surprising medium finish. 🔥for the money. — 3 years ago
The best sextant vintage of Pinot yet! Vibrant bright cherry, lively wine that evolves in the glass. Perfect thanksgiving wine, which is why I paired it with the delicate pork tenderloin tonight. Has enough racy acid to challenge the vinaigrette accompanying the couscous salad. Lovely! ‘Tis the season! www.freerunjuicewine.com — comment and tag me if you would like a discount code! Definite repurchase. My cousin picked it out — a month ago
W. Still quite good. Subdued fruit with moderate floral tones. Very well balanced with nice complexity once it opened — 4 months ago

Delicious but not quite as good as it used to be. Lots of cherry. — 4 years ago
A highly perfumed nose evokes fresh honeydew melon Meyer lemon pear nectar and white flowers and a smoky mineral nuance builds as the wine opens up. Sappy concentrated and incisive on the palate offering intense citrus and orchard fruit flavors and chamomile and saffron flourishes. A dusty mineral element adds vibrant lift and cut to the impressively long sharply delineated finish which leaves behind a suave floral note. — 5 years ago
We had the 2014 Vintage on 10/1-2/20. This is a good, full bodied, fruit forward Pinot Noir. The lead flavor on the bouquet and palate is black cherry. There is some oak and sweet spice. The tannins need to be smoothed with the aerator. I would buy more. — 6 years ago

Poured into a decanter about two hours prior to service and enjoyed over the course of several days. Yes…you read that right. This benefitted greatly from air. The 2019 Syrah SLH pours a purple color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and some fine sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of blackberries, fig, plum, purple flowers, black pepper, animale, black olive brine, dried green herbs, earth and gentle warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finish is medium+ and loaded with minerals. Initially, this was quite pretty on the nose but backward on the palate. After all of the air, it swung into balance and it was beautiful. Drink now with a lot of air and some patience, through 2039+. — 16 days ago
