2010 vintage. Not a fave producer by any means but a fave plot. Opened and decanted with a small amount of sed. Verry aromatic throughout. Didn't want to open this but the other/first red Burg offering/option was underwhelming so this got pressed into service. Light medium/medium body. Plenty of complexities in both the nose and mouth. Excellent acidity baseline to administrate the proceedings. This can easily go another decade. Didn't have enough time to experience this properly unfolding but the time that was spent was thoroughly enjoyable. 10.2.26. — 3 days ago

One of my favorite wines we get almost nothing of. Pure class in 23. Gorgeous, floral aromas, black cherry, hint of reduction, limestone galore. The palate is young but with extraordinary fruit. Pure. Zero hard edges and really energetic. Acid is on point. Such sweet fruit developing with air. So sappy and dense. Unreal. Wow. Nose now confectionary blackberry and black raspberry. Fun Dip powders. And the stick kind of. Palate gets elegant with such fruit authority. Unbelievably delicious. But has a decade plus and will benefit greatly. — 7 months ago

A second Acker buy. CVed with first 3/25/20. Lighter and medium bodied wine that’s balanced and good pairing for lots of food. Got that stimulating texture of the Southern Rhône blend. Great buy! AA5. Opened 6/6/20 very fresh texture still with the lighter not so complex red berry notes that paired very well with Amah bone soup with highly watered down Kimchee. Relatively simple but still a good pairing wine. 70 Grenache 30 Syrah. — 7 years ago
