We were drinking classic wines from classic vintages on this particular night and this fit the bill nicely. This wine (not the ‘05) was one of the first Bdx I ever tried early in my wine drinking career. This particular bottle was as textbook as they come — 4 months ago
Flavorful Margaux, still a little young, with prominent tannin, served with Hake Wellington at Chez Rosa restaurant in Kennebunkport, ME — 6 days ago
Delicious Haut-Medoc Bordeaux, with dark fruit notes and silky tannin, served at family dinner in Toronto — a month ago
A bit harsh but it’s just not for me. Tannic structure is good and nice tartness - alive but just a touch too parching in the end — 3 months ago

Dark, glass-clinging reddish purple with near opaque core. Lush, inviting nose of baked plum and dark berry cobbler. Equally lush, full palate echoes the nose adding juicy red plum, blackberry, and fruit ash. Velvety medium tannins entry to finish. Medium acidity. Lengthy, dark finish. Can't really go wrong with Pomerol, and this wine is further evidence of that. A good solid vintage from the house that put Michel Rolland on the map. Drink now through 2029. — 14 days ago
