#AgedWineTuesday
Dark ruby in color with a brick rim.
Light on the nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with nice complexity.
Showing red fruits with earth, light wood, spices, coffee, dark chocolates, tobacco leaf, mushrooms, herbs and black pepper.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tart cranberries.
This 12 year old Pinot Noir from Burgundy is elegant and tangy.
Earthy, and better after 90 minutes of airtime.
Wine Advocate 92 points.
Starting to show some age, and doesn't feel young, but I feel it needs more time in the bottle. Would be nice to revisit it in 7 years.
Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food.
12.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

Was a gift from a close friend. Medium dark rubi robe, nose of black fruits, top soil and a hint of anise. Oh so elegant in the mouth. Great stuff, complex but not complicated. Probably drinkable still another 6 months before it hibernates. We loved it. If any indication of the vintage in Burgundy, its classical in style in spite of the heat and maturity. If anyone has insights we are more than happy to take :) — 2 months ago

The vintage was poor, producer is superb. Reflection and introspection leads me to regret. If you’re on a tight budget, don’t go here. In my opinion, the vintage presents too many fault lines to be addressed. — 12 days ago
