Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. Drappier’s “Clarevallis”, a blend of mostly Pinot Noir with Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and a dash of Pinot Blanc (Blanc vrai), pours a straw color with a persistent mousse of tiny bubbles. On the nose, the wine is developing with striking notes of ripe apples, white flowers, lemon, something that reminded me of sweet curry spice (not sure I’ve picked that up before) and chalky minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. The curry thing seems less obvious though there is a related savory note on the finish, which, is long. A very lovely aperitif. The date code suggests this was disgorged in July of 2023 but I could be reading that wrong. Regardless, drink now. — 5 months ago

Zesty and floral aromas all the way. Nice tension and texture. Crush wet stones, striking balance and smooth finish. Brioche and candied apricots. Peachy on the end back of the palate as well. Short finish but lingering enough to taste its nuances for over 5 secs. Cheers ! — a month ago
Quite deep , copper tinged lemon colour . Fine vigorous perlage. On the nose buttered pastry , chalk dust , red apple , cranberry , hints of lemon peel . On the palate good volume with some light red fruits , red currant and cranberry complementing the , chalk tinged , lemon hints . Medium bodied, quite fresh and linear, mineral tinged with decent length . Well made and gastronomic in style , this has enough body to go with a range of foods . Drink now — 3 months ago
