2000 vintage. This is one of the better BDX 2000's I've had in the last decade. Opened not decanted. Tasted 1 hour and 4 hours after opening. Feminine body, masculine flavors. Plenty of stuffing and instructive markers laid down along the palate pathway. With apologies to Robert Zimmerman, you ain't going nowhere. 10.2.26. — a month ago

From Chatenière and Champlot, with vines around 50 and 15 years old. Great aroma, huge fruit, saline lift, and super aromatics. Wonderful freshness and wood, juicy and clean, with insane acidity, huge density, mouthwatering acid whiplash, and a finish that just keeps dissipating. So long, so pure, so elegant. Wow. — 4 months ago
Double-decanted prior to service. The 1988 pours a garnet color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and some fine sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous with beautiful notes of cassis, brambles, tobacco, capsicum, leather, inorganic earth and a mix of herbs and fine spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin (integrated) and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finish is medium+. The label is beat to hell but the condition of the wine inside the bottle was perfect. Classic, old school Bordeaux from a classified growth. Drink now through 2043. — 16 days ago

2019 vintage. A blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, and 7% Petit Verdot. First year of conversion to organic viticulture. The second wines of the big boys have never been better, and this is another good example. Raspberry, cassis, a hint of pencil shavings, and a little smokiness. Good concentration, charm, complexity and length. Good value for an appellation where you don't go shopping with 10 euro, but that rarely disappoints. A lovely introduction to the grand vin at one third of the price. Abv. 13,5%.. Eric Boissenot consults. — a month ago

The utterly delicious 2018 Chateau Gloria is medium>full, with an abundance of black fruit aromatics and flavors, a good structure, and a well balanced fruity core with juicy acidity and powdery tannins at the smoothly textured, long mouth coating finish. One of the better values in Bordeaux. — 3 months ago
