今が2025年なので、21年前のワイン。

色はガーネット色になっていないように見える。
香りも熟成的なニュアンスはなく、とてもきれい。

飲んでみると、ドライローズ？アセロラ？

ネッビオーロとは思えない香り。ドルチェットもドルチェットらしからぬ香りだったが、その時と同じ香りがする。ジュゼッペマスカレッロ香とも言うべき香りなのか。。。

タンニンは完全に溶け込んでいて、澄み切ったというか、透明感のある果実味。
軽やかだが、緻密で焦点があった感じがする。
エレガントというかとにかく優しく繊細。
ブラインドではバローロ と言えないと思う。
唯一無二のワイン。

ちなみに、最後にオリも一切なし。本当に21年前のワインだったのだろうか。。。

Medium garnet , wide light garnet rim. Touch volatile at first , high toned summer fruits , but with more time this becomes more focused with porcini, cedar , aromatic black tea , orange rind . On the palate this is really still very fruit driven , with lots of summer fruits , strawberry , blackberry , spiced dark cherries, beef extract , liquorice and dried rose . Balanced acidity and still quite present gritty tannin . This is still showing quite young and fruit driven , enjoyable and really good now , will no doubt have a long life ahead , from now and over the next 10 - 15 years . — 6 months ago

Fully mature and one of the better 93s I’ve tasted. One of the earlier vintages after Roagna bought La Roca e la Pira vineyards in Barolo, extending beyond their base in Barbaresco. The cork on this wine still has the imprint of Roagna Barbaresco, so the transition to Castiglione Falletto was still underway. Really wonderful wine with classic tertiary notes of tobacco, leather, smoke, and dark berry fruit. Tannins fully resolved. Good balance and depth. Time to drink up for sure, but very enjoyable. — 15 days ago
