Nicely balanced Côtes du Rhône, enjoyed with steak frites at STK restaurant in Boston — 6 months ago
Awesome wine. Honeyed, apricot, peach skin, crushed stone, floral, hint of tea, medium bodied, hint of nuttiness and medium to medium plus acid. Really fun and complex. Wish the acid was a touch higher. 13%abv — 6 months ago
Lighter medium body over pale burgundy color, with purple hues deeply embedded within. Took a while to open up, but once the nose started opening up the ripe red fruit, crunchy acidity and notes of bark, plum, leeks, and cracked pepper started to show. The palate is deep and old world, with hints of earth, smoke, even some BBQ sauce. Main palate is cranberry, tart cherry, and dark plum, with a LOT of energy and life, with some bramble, and really, this could age for another 40 years or more easy. — 8 months ago
so much bang for the buck - reminds me of when southern Rhône used to be affordable... captivating wine: gorgeous dark ruby color, deep reservoir of black & red fruits, pepper, garrigue and exotic spices. Composed, graceful, med bodied palate, beautiful balance w/bright acidity carrying all the flavors thru long smooth finish — 8 days ago

Classic Besucastel! I first visited this property in 1987, and the Brett character was unmistakeable. This 1990 is aging extremely well. Strong Brett aromas, but the fruit is also strong and in balance. If you are one that thinks Brett is an unforgivable flaw, you will hate this. Great Chateauneuf from a great vintage! Celebrating my son’s 33rd birthday tonight (1993 wasn’t a great vintage in CdP!) with a perfectly grilled NY steak. I am very pleased with this wine — a month ago

Also from Costco. Surprised me, it's really nice. Cherries, plums, garrigue, and wet stones. Makes for an engaging sipper.
