100% Nero D’Avola. Bright ruby color with purple highlights. Aromas of blackberry, coffee and oak. Pallet is full of blackberry, chocolate, black licorice and coffee. Baking spices on the very earthy finish. Firm tannins, but not overpowering. Nice expression of the varietal and place of origin. — 2 years ago
A bit musty when first opened, but developed beautifully over a couple of days. — 2 years ago
At Bricco celebrating Dana's swearing in. Dry, earthy, needed an hour. — 3 months ago

Ripe boysenberry in color; sour cherry, prune and spice on the nose; rich palate that could almost pass for a blend of Amarone and Zinfandel. This is 100% Perricone, so why not? — 2 years ago
Light enough for sipping but holds its own with a meal.
Tried with dinner at Piacere Mio. — a year ago

Incredible wine from the slopes of Mnt Edna where they discovered an old abandoned vineyard from pre-phylloxera times planted back in the late eighteen hundreds. Mostly from the Nerrello Mascalese grape. The wines is super focussed and bright, zooming into elegant layers of vibrant red and dark fruits all supported by subtle fine grained tannins and mineral undernotes. Classic old world style wine with endless depth and nuanced complexity. Just a complete, perfect wine …. For me 😁 — a day ago
