Nose has ripe cherry, cedar++, charcoal, grilled black cherry, faint olive and over-ripe blackberry.
Palate has dried cherry/blackberry, tobacco, strawberry, vanilla, dried mint, leather with medium+ tannins and plenty of acidity to hold for decades.
Epic, even besting the 1968 & 1995 for my palate!

Good fruit intensity but a bit sunny, leaves out some of the potential nuance — 13 days ago
Love the vintage for the Domaine. Provides the perfect balance of freshness, acid and minerality, none of which overwhelming the pure, vivid, spiced fruit character, and as always, showing more Vosne than NSG which is just how I like it. Beautiful showing. Opened 5 hours ahead! — a month ago
The 2006 Musigny Vieilles Vignes Grand Cru has a rambunctious nose with raspberry ripple and crushed strawberry scents, though it doesn't fully have the complexity of other vintages. The palate is chewy, slightly muscular and impressively dense. It's surly on the finish with markedly dry tannins that don't urge you back for more. It's the kind of Musigny that I feel would not be made under the present regime. (Neal Martin, Vinous, June 2024)

A lovely punchy noise packed with plum and roses and violets. Expressive and delicious. A bit lures complex on the palate but what a lovely approach — 8 days ago
