Floral, enough fruit left, mostly dark berries, old book, dried leaves, forest floor, and nicely mellowed tannins. 2009 in 2025. — 2 months ago

Then 2013 Salvioni La Cerbaiola is drop dead Gorgeous in all aspects, including the deep, dark and dense ruby-red, garnet appearance, the fruit-laden, perfumed aromatics and flavors, as well as the well balanced structure of ample fruit, medium acidity, and gentle tannins at the long satisfying finish.
Overall, it’s medium/full, particularly elegant and vibrant, from a cooler than normal vintage that many described as a “return to classicism.” I’m unfamiliar with older vintages (prior to global warming) but this is MY style of Brunello. Refined, Classy and a Joy to swirl, sniff and savor.

Beautiful and lush. So many layers…feels like this will still be strong in another 10 years — a month ago

This is a highly regarded wine and it has all the bones of a great wine - but it just didn’t fit my profile. I prefer a balance of earth and fruit in old world wines and probably lean towards the earth. This was too fruit forward for me. — 4 months ago
Savoury yet ripe cherry notes. Great depth of flavour coming out after 18 years. A medium bodied palate with medium plus intensity. A trace of that elusive iron amongst the earthy notes. A brilliant wine - thoroughly enjoyed it. A pity that we have to wait 15 to 20 years for Barolos like this to be at their peak, but it is worth the wait. Runcot is only bottled in the best years. This is one of the 1001 Wines and one of the best reds I’ve had this year. — 6 months ago

Drank the 2015 vintage - smooth tannins but still hold on some nice fruity notes — 5 days ago
