Happy Anniversary Sofia. I miss you honey and will forever! Cortona calling. Cheers! 🍾🥂
I had this a few years ago and thought this needed another 3-4…apparently wasn’t wrong. Not as stellar as the 07. Starting come into its own. Golden apple, green apple, lime pulp, tropical melon, just ripe pineapple, ripe pear, vanillin, caramel, cream, sea spray, alluvial limestone minerals, beautiful mid grain chalkiness, brioche, baguette crust, nice, soft yeastiness, jasmine, yellow lilies, really nice acidity, well structured, balanced, delicious finish that lasts two-minutes. 🌹 — 9 months ago
This remains one of the greatest white dry wines of France although probably not for everybody. Every year is a surprise and that inconsistency can be off-putting. Golden color, medium weight, quite high in alcohol (14.5) and cloudy. Long burn, apricot, dried raisins, apple and pineapple. — 2 months ago
v19. This is really good! Soft white pepper and cedar nose. Fresh, deep, rich black fruit licorice. Tight, chewy, smooth, long, slightly astringent, dried herbal spice and mocha finish. Nicely balanced. — 5 months ago
2009 vintage. Golden color. Heavy body (still!!). Unctuous with a corresponding amount of acidity to keep the proceedings in check for the next decade. This ain’t going nowhere. About as far from my “jam” as is possible but still other-worldly. 5.1.24. — 2 months ago
Deep golden color with a citrus undertone and distinct minerality, if not oyster shells. Delightfully pleasant wine. — 5 months ago

Ripe fruit, balanced richness and acidity. This should age wonderfully. — 15 hours ago
