@Anthony De Blasi good question. Firstly I think the wines from Fontodi are young or old always excellent. We had a 2010 Flaccionello a few months ago that felt like it could have been just a few years old so I think you still have time. Always difficult to know when to pull that cork but regardless you will enjoy it!

On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry and plum flavors, well balanced, with pepper, cinnamon and slight tobacco. Long finish, fine tannins ending with fruit and an earthy mineral character. Paired with USDA T-bone. It wasn't just a meal; the earthy depth of the wine transformed the mushrooms and steak into a multidimensional experience. It reminded me why I value the art of pairing so much. — 6 months ago
