Fresh sour cherry nose, some Kirsch (not enough decanting). Cherries, dried raspberries, bell pepper, soft tannic bitters, pinch of white pepper and red licorice. Great structure and mouthfeel. 13% abv. A super solid baseline for quality Swiss Pinot. The Adank Chardonnays are so impressive, and my first taste of the reds doesn’t disappoint. This bottle is still so young, give it enough air and it really loosens up. Thanks @Lyle Fass — 2 months ago
Dang, this is a good Chardonnay! White burg is one of my fave styles, and this certainly meets it. Floral, grassy nose. Green apple and preserved lemon peel. Pale, clear color. Crazy, focused mouth-watering acidity and dry, dry minerals. I haven’t had too many pure Swiss Chardonnays, but this is the alpine Graubünden style I like. Thanks @Lyle Fass — 6 months ago
Pinot Blanc is usually “meh” in vinous form but not when it’s made by Patrick Adank. Varietally correct but oh so much more. Unreal purity and out of control finesse. So long, dense, nimble and stunning. Just insane mouthfeel. Art. — 19 days ago
Great CA Chardonnay. Balanced, not overly oaked, not really buttery. Fresh and delicious lemon, yellow apple, underripe pear. It doesn’t have the electric acidity of the Adank Swiss Chardonnay I just tried, but it’s delicious in its own softer, more subtle way. Speaking of Swiss, I’m using a cup for tonight’s cheese fondue on a snowy night. — 6 months ago
Just a stunning bottle of wine. The nose leaps out of the glad with bright, clearly defined mid season cherries. Gorgeously elegant and earthy with mineral notes that are so utterly refined you can almost smell the vines in that Alpine air. Wild flowers, so intense and pure. So supple and juicy with unreal juuuust almost not quite but barely sweet fruit which no one does like Adank. The most supple and velvety texture and finishes so delicately mineral it’s whispering. This is a stunning wine and for the $60 we sold it for one of the greatest Pinot Noir values ever. Adank is a giant. — 23 days ago
So so dense. So tight. So coiled. So elegant. So concentrated. Structured. Checking in tomorrow. Nose is so floral, a day later. Very mineral and so expressive. Palate is enormously complex, chewy and dense. My goodness the density of this wine is just insane. It’s barely budged overnight. Fleshier, yes but also there still is more to come. Day 3 awaits. — 3 months ago

Needs a 45 minute decant to open.
Nose: intense white flowers. A quiet density as it opens. Powdered minerals. A perfect perfume. As it opens more density and some richness. With more air this approaches perfection. Everything integrates and becomes gorgeous.
Palate: mineral. Perfect balance. Elegant acidity. Perfect lemon fruit. A cross between sweet and normal. Not sweet though.
30 minutes in, this has like this savory tang. This lovely umami. Like how preserve lemon rind has a depth to it that exceeds a lemon.
Long finish. — 5 days ago
