Medium deep ruby garnet core , quite narrow garnet ruby rim. Grafite , cassis , deeper , darker fruit than the 2017. Blackberry and some ash and tobacco. On the palate this is deeper, with more darker fruit also, grafite , cassis and with a roundness and richness that the 2017 doesn’t have . Quite fresh acidity and gritty tannins , good length with grafite and cassis freshness . This is showing well but can still improve over the next 5 or so years and will last well over the next 10 years if not more . From 750ml with a couple hours of air, it’s showing bell pepper and ripe currant fruit with just a hint of leather, knit together by lovely acidity. At peak and excellent but with plenty of life remaining. — 2 months ago

Delightful. 49% merlot, 45% cab sauv, little petit verdot, and cab franc to round it out. Smells and tastes like cab but drinks a little more smoothly and cleaner with that merlot. Really like it cause its all the cab I like without the part I am less a fan of. — 24 days ago
