Still youthful color, the Merlot in this Merlot-dominant Bordeaux is still moderately rich and youthful, solid tannic structure, lingering finish, I’d guess this will cellar for at least five more years. I have fond memories of the 1982 Coufran, purchased on release for $5 and change, that wine drank well for 20 years!! — a day ago

2020 was the last vintage produced under Groupama ownership, as the estate was sold in April 2021 to Gerald Jicquel (the Beautiful Life Group , that also owns Fourcas-Dupré). While it is an attractive, smooth Haut-Médoc, it lacks a bit of concentration, especially if compared to some of its peers in this great vintage ( like the Barreyres 2020 I've tasted yesterday). But a nice drink in any case. Abv. 13%. — 8 months ago

No notes. Bottle offered to my friend and kept since then, again for a decade or more. Superb currently, can be kept for another 5 to 7 years easily. Cassis, oak and firm tannins, strong acid drive, tar and cigar on the nose. Great stuff ! — 3 months ago

Delectable seems to be having troubles again. This wine is so young, I let it breathe for an hour while I prepped dinner, and it was still pretty tight. After dinner it began to open up with bright red fruit and a hint of florals on the nose. Also some faint brett.
Flavors include tart strawberries, blueberries, cedar and pipe tobacco. Nice, long ending. Not very complex, but well structured and delicious. And a great value!
