Yet another Jo find - she doesn’t disappoint. Great with food; takes on and brings out the character of what you’re eating. Equally good with Brie cheese course as with mandarins. — 6 years ago
— 8 years ago
Nose : graphite. Blackberry. Beautiful.
Palate: blackberry. Blueberry. Lovely finesse. Dry Good texture. Delicious. A bit of Fresh sweet green olives. It flits in and out.
As this opens the lavender comes out. Bloody gorgeous.
As this opens waaaay more elegant and less blueberry juice.

This is a notably vibrant style of Muscadet with crisp acidity, loads of lemon, green apple, pear and melon. Despite being sur lie the wine has a very clean, lean feeling on the palate. Great with scallops — 4 years ago
Asian pear, blended citrus and hints of ginger on the nose that become intensified on the palate with the addition of bruised apple and a slightly oxidative undertone. Toasty with a whisp of maritime influence. Jo does sparkling beautifully. GR8 value. — 6 years ago
Only dark purple, subtle fruit nose, slight tannins and oaks with a mild residual sugar finish. Exceptionally good! — 6 years ago
Ordered by Frenchy at Ops - light, fruity, a little bit of earth funk. Emily says “it’s the kind of wine a centaur would drink”... — 7 years ago
Deep Ruby color with aromas of ripe red and black fruits, spice and toasty notes, aged for 14 months in oak. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum with licorice, cacao and spicy oak notes. Balanced acidity, fine chewy tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy mineral character. — 7 months ago
Domaine Jo Pithon, Savennières 2021 chenin blanc
I love chenin and more specifically from Savennières... Honey, green apple and chalk on the nose. Very fresh and acid driven palate, some width, some nice mouthfeel with almost a grain, a long fresh apple-y finish that goes on for ever. What's not to like here? — 3 years ago
Just wow. Nose is mega black and green olive. Just stunning. So much granite and blackberry fruit. Vivid and refined. Wow. 9.8 nose. Palate is massively concentrated and the finish has so much energy and granite. Violets throughout and top top finesse. Formidable structure as well but this is the most exciting wine in St. Jo. Bar none. Wow. — 4 years ago
Excellent example of a St Jo. On opening, the nose was much more lilac and herbs. Black olives and red fruit in the mouth. After 3 hours in a decanter, big change. On the nose, bacon fat and olives. Bacon and iron in the mouth. Long finish. I would recommend *not* decanting or waiting 3-5 years. The in between made for some awkwardness. — 6 years ago
