100% Chardonnay. 40 years old. 0 dosage. Too young. Needs more time in the bottle. Disgorged 29/11/2023. Highly allocated. And squirreled away by the Michelin ⭐️ ‘s folks. The importer is a friend so i get first dips. Less convincing than previous vintages. Hint of Kirsch - eau de vie, — 5 months ago

Touch Brettanomyces, aka horses ass but otherwise flawless and very tasty. 13.5%. Comes across as a red Burgh. NSG. Inky and dark. Tannins fully resolved. Velvety, Blackberry, dark 🍒. Leather. — 6 months ago

My style of wine. Good mouth feel with black licorice but not overwhelming. Nice ripe fruit, a touch of spice. — a month ago
Really enjoyed this. For the money really can’t beat it. Dark fruits, not overly tannic. My go to when I am tired of dropping to much money on wine. — 4 months ago

Yeah, I bought 2 Joel Gott wines today. I guess I'm reliving some of the wines I liked when I first got into wine.
This is just fine! Inexpensive and chuggable, if I'm not careful. Citrus, green apple, pineapple, melon.. you're supposed to say "grass and gooseberry" when you drink SB, but I've never tasted a gooseberry. Not very grassy, either. Doing this with Thai spring rolls, and it's great.
