Have not in around 4.5 years. Nose is rich, chocolatey and super mineral. Lovely spice and leaf decay. Palate is so rich and decadent with gorgeous fruit and a tiny berry fruit intensity. Terrific energy and sap. Great balance, freshness and some brooding but thoroughly ripe tannins. That old vine intensity is unmistakeable. Let’s see how this evolves. Forgot this wine, no indication of vintage except on the cork! A flashy earthy dark fruited presentation straight out of some wilderness, firm almost woodsy palate and good finish. Not at all what I would have thought of as Gamay. Looked like it didn’t present well several years ago. Age difference? — 10 months ago
