Still a bit on the lighter side, but a wonderful deal from Drouhin — a month ago
Medium Ruby color with aromas dark red fruits, black tea and ample floral spice, aged in 20% new French oak for 10 months. On the palate flavors of black cherry, blackberry and plum with tobacco, cedar, black pepper, tea and vanilla spice. Soft fine tannins, long finish, well balanced with acidity, ending with fruit, herb, spice and earthy wet stone character. Nice! — 13 days ago
Medium lemon colour . Quite rich with lemon rind , honied notes , buttered popcorn and orange flowers. On the palate much more strict and linear , with ripe apricot , lemon rind , orange , lovely intensity and balanced acidity . After a while more mineral and linear , intense acidity . This is drinking well with time in the glass , but will continue to improve over the next 5 years or so and continue well a further 5 . — 2 days ago
2000 vintage. Medium-heavy body (still!). Nose a mix of continuing fresh berries/fruit and secondary flavors. Only small hints of tertiary flavor right now. What it lacked in complexity on the finish, it made up for with full-throttle power throughout. Another 7-10 years should reveal this Grand Cru at the top of its game. 12.11.24. — 19 days ago

2012 vintage. Opened and decanted. Tasted 45 mins after decanting. Medium-heavy body with tremendous power. Nose not giving up much at that point other than nebulous, dark fruits. Flavors of spearmint, watercress, rhubarb and ash. Needed at least another hour of lounge time in the decanter to unfurl those wings somewhat but three hours woulda been better. Two bottles left so will opt for a 6 hr decant next viz if possible. 12.25.24. — 4 days ago
