Stunning creation from Clos du Marquis is a testament to the magnificent 2005 vintage. The wine offers an impeccable harmony of rich blackcurrant and plum aromas, intertwined with elegant notes of cedar, tobacco, and subtle spices. Its structured tannins and vibrant acidity create a perfectly balanced palate, while the long, sophisticated finish leaves a memorable impression. A truly remarkable expression of the Saint-Julien terroir that continues to evolve beautifully with time. — 3 months ago
Blue and black fruits. A lot of density and terroir. This took about 5 hours decanting and in the glass to fully open up.
Excellent pairing for steak. Robust wine that turned super smooth.
Went head to head with ‘15 Caymus SS and IMO beat it out handily. — 4 months ago

Delicious, flavorful, dark fruit, with a punch of spice — 3 months ago
Coming back to this old favorite. Now it’s at grocery outlet! Pretty label. Pretty color in the glass. Smells earthy with wet gravel meets strawberry-rhubarb pies. Flavors are nice. Floral, fruity cherry/raspberry notes. Blast of bite on the finish to keep it balanced. Fruit driven, but not fruit bombed. Juicy AF. Cleaner and less dynamic than I remember it being when I love, love, loved it. Still an amazing Spanish value wine. Elegant and very tasty. — 4 months ago
Dark earthy coffee and cedar with a touch of first floor and green pepper. Rich and deep with tannins but not too harsh. — 19 days ago

A good but not great LLC, classic black current and hints of leather and cedar, but a little rustic, though drinking it next to a lovely 1990 Troplong-Mondot didn’t do it any favors. — 2 days ago
