Slightly advanced bottle — 20 days ago
More weight than the last time I had it, getting better with age — 3 months ago
Leans into its carbonic character, with a confectionary nose of bright cherry-plum bubble gum, loads of granite, and almost a subtle just-dug root vegetable note. In the mouth it has an initial belt of high/toned fruit, but then slims down and eases into a lean feel, with fine, chalky minerality being the last characteristic. Definitely on the lighter side but quite flavorful. Seems a little disjointed and would probably benefit from another year or so in the bottle to come together. — 4 months ago
Been awhile since I have had this…a good revisit. I’m sure my historical notes on this still stand.
My cherry tomatoes are in full streaming mode. So good. Especially, with burrata.
Try this with your garden cherry tomatoes or ones from the farmers market. Slice in halves, drizzle nicely but not over w/ olive oil, squeeze some fresh lemon, add Maldon salt to taste and fresh basil strips. Mix & let stand 10-15 before enjoying. It is the most authentic presentation of Italian cuisine I have known outside Italy. — a month ago

Lovely champagne with lemon cream, toast, green apple, and chalk. Paired with H.L. Mencken — 20 days ago
First taste? That typical purple color but nose is well resolved with primary fruit having evolved into an intriguing dark berries earthy profile with a tinge of mintiness. Lovely and lively palate. Nice. — 3 months ago
