This wine has shed its new worldish baby fat and is now a classic haut medoc with graphite on the nose, plums and blueberries. Smoke, cedar and dried leaves. Good acidity and a lingering finish. — 6 months ago
Young but accessible already. Love this classic haut medoc palate: Blackcurrant, dark cherry, clove, earthiness, cigarboxes & pencil shavings. Pretty classic in profile and with a great potential. — 2 years ago
Smooth Haut Medoc red blend, enjoyed with steak frites at Bistro du Midi, Boston — 4 months ago
First taste!? Mature with a bit of bricking but still nice solid color and bouquet of mature red fruits and earth. Velvety and enticing on palate. Excellent with Evan’s Shanghainese pork belly. 51/43/4/2 Merlot/Cab/CabFranc/Petit Verdot on label from Bernard Magrez touting same attention as his Pape Clement, and long history dating back to 1120. Importer label says 37/55/6/2 instead! (Oldest in Medoc, 1400 by house of Foix loyal to King of England. 1486 Camet new owner. 1500s by Michel de Montaigne.) — 5 months ago

2022 vintage. This large estate is co-owner by Castel and Suntory (the group also owns Beychevelle), and this 2022 represents great value for money. 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot. Compared to the Castel-owned Barreyres tasted alongside, Beaumont features a more black fruit personality, with more concentration and complexity, for only 1 euro more. Terrific value. — 14 days ago
