This rating is just my taste. Not a reflection of the quality of the wine. I generally don’t care for the St Emilion region. The wine is just too austere for me. It’s 22% cab franc. It had a slight puckering dried out character without balance to me. Definitely can tell it’s a well made wine. Perhaps with a strong food pairing this would be a better experience for me but it was a wine I didn’t enjoy drinking. — 2 months ago
Dark, glass-clinging purple with opaque black core. Abundant, blue-fruity nose. Echoed on the lush, full palate which adds red apple peel, blackberry, and bitter black plum. Medium acidity. Velvety medium tannins. Very nice, everyday St. Emilion. Food is, of course, naturally its friend. Drink now through 2030. — 3 months ago
This is why I love Bordeaux! $40 bottle tastes like $100! Lovely dark red color with purple and maroon rims. Classic Bordeaux nose of cedar, rust, flowers, and subtle cow shit. Aged cherries, anise, cedar, and lilacs on the palate. Lovely texture that coats and sticks. Medium plus depth and finish. Really good! — 2 months ago
This needed a firm decant. Has a dept of fruit to it, some forest floor, stoniness, cedar, coffee and florality. Still not showing all the elements it’s capable off. I think it’s in there but needs much more time to fully integrate. Drink from 2028. (90-94) — 4 months ago

Very good Bordeaux with final night at Villa Avellana. With a large collection of meats. Perfectly aged. — 8 days ago
