Tasted blind. Deep purple color. Looks very young, compared to the 45 Margaux next to it. Almost opaque. Notes of black fruit, cracked walnuts, sweet fruit, raspberry and some cedar desk. Super rich in the mouth. Seems young and is firm, but tannins are softened and the mouthfeel is velvet touch. Long finish. It peacocks all night. The walnuts thing leads my guess to Latour, but can this be the 45? Is it a 61 or 82? Could be... I go with it being a 59 given how young it seems. Just an amazing bottle of wine, open for ~9 hours by the time we left, it seemed to effortlessly power along. Thanks Stan! — 5 years ago
Honey, butterscotch, ginger, vanilla, melon, pear. Oily, buttery texture. Rich. This is amazing. — 20 days ago
Pale lemon in color.
Light on nose and medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with medium plus sized bubbles.
Showing limes, grapefruits, lemons, green apples, yeast, minerals, brioche, sea salt, spices and herbs.
Medium finish with limes and grapefruits.
This 9 year old Champagne is still too young, and needs 10 years in the bottle to mature properly.
Easy drinking, fruit forward and elegant. Already delicious, even by itself, complex and interesting.
Robert Parker 95 points. Wine Spectator 96 points.
Needs an hour to open up properly, so be patient.
I've had many different vintages of this Champagne and this vintage feels more approachable young. Will continue to get better in the next 20 years.
Great by itself or with food.
A blend of 51% Pinot Noir and 49% Chardonnay. Disgorged in 2023.
12.5% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

Excellent wine! Had it with tapas and it was a match made in heaven. Cherry notes, medium body and well rounded. — 8 months ago
A fantastic tempranillo that is the perfect blend of fruit forward with a smooth transition to a nice earthy finish. — 2 years ago
Tasted twice! Blend of 71% Cab Sauv, 8% Cab Franc, 9% Petit Verdot, 11% Merlot & 1% Malbec, deep Ruby with aromas of ripe berry fruits, tobacco, herbs and licorice. On the palate black cherry, raspberry and blackberry flavors with espresso, mocha, oak and earthy tobacco notes. Well balanced, great mouthfeel, medium acidity, fine ripe silky tannins, long finish ending with fruit, cedar and toasty spice! Very Nice! Will age well for another decade! — 4 years ago

1982 vintage. Last tasted 6.1.24 (9.4) and nearly 9 years ago (9.0). Courtesy of Monsieur @Bill Bender. Sweet fill. Opened with a Durand. Cork 95% saturated. A little reticent in the early going and decanted a third of the bottle to see if that would pull the juice out of a sullen funk. It did, so the remainder got decanted whilst throwing much less sed than expected. Medium body still. Slightly brickish and plenty fleshy with well-integrated complexity. Very pleasant and lingering finish. A great bottle with more than could reasonably be expected at this juncture. Thank you, Bill! 4.24.26. — 6 months ago

This is as classic as Napa Can can be - deep Ruby even at 9 years of age, wonderfully developed nose of cassis, red currant, violet, blackberry, wild raspberry, cedar, cigar box and wet stone, dried rose petal and cedar. Beautiful balance between the fruit, the silky, elegant tannins, crisp acidity and alcohol (15.2%). Very long finish and very much full of life - it has another 10 years of life. Voluptuous without being too ripe or overly extracted. Masterful — 4 years ago
Liked it a lot. Good juice. But pricey for quality - $19. — 5 years ago
Perfectly balanced white blend! Not too sweet, tart, acidic, etc. Would be a total crowd pleaser, and would repurchase — 6 years ago

This wine has been in the zone for about 10 years now. And most likely will be for another 10.
