Nice bottle, nothing too complex. Cherry notes, perfect with a wild game ragout and stinky Pod — 2 months ago
super sweet and golden. Norway 2026 — 3 months ago
Super Tuscan blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (58%), Cabernet Franc (29%) and Merlot (13%). Dark ruby color. Aromas of red and black fruit, anise, purple flowers and leather. Flavors of black cherry/plum/berry fruit, black licorice, cocoa powder and sweet baking spices. Lovely mineral and minty tones on the long and lingering finish. Silky tannins and a velvety texture. Loaded with finesse and wonderful freshness. Enjoyed with Petey and Kase (Thanks Guys) on the beach in Cape May, NJ. — 4 days ago
Super Tuscan blend of Merlot (75%) and Sangiovese (25%). Dark ruby/purple color with a slight garnet rim. Aromas of dark cherry/berry fruit, forest floor, leather, graphite and wild herbs. Flavors of black cherry/berry and blueberry fruit, cola, tobacco and dark chocolate. Bit of vanilla on the long and drawn out finish. Firm, but well structured tannins and just enough acidity. Powerful structure, full bodied and fairly well balanced. Quite dense and rich. Better with a decant. — 9 days ago
Dark fruits, tobacco, clay leather. Decanted for 2 hours… well integrated tannins, medium acidity — a month ago

Выпито третьим вином в этот же день. 100% это было лишнее. Хотя как супертосканское 2018 года - оно было бесподобно (мое любимое. ) — 8 months ago
Many 85s from Piedmont have faded. This one is just a classic example of fully mature Nebbiolo. Tar, leather, sous bois, soft fruit, iron, wet stone, and tannins still alive, well balanced. Long finish. Showing surprisingly well. A great wine for a heat wave!! 😆 — 2 months ago
delicious: butterscotch - really sexy, orchard fruit juxtaposed w/salinity & minerals - full bodied, voluptuous, cellar temp was downright silky leading to long resonant finish. I've had this many times and they were always older & oxidized - would argue these are better younger — 7 days ago

A beautifully balanced wine with black currant, black cherry, with hints of violet, vanilla and leather. There is a beautiful hint of fennel and eucalyptus on the long finish. Most impressive is the finesse of this wine - great flavor without being overly extracted. Lovely — 3 months ago

It is time for some Merlot on this #MerlotThursday. Let's bring Merlot back!
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Red and black fruits on the nose with tobacco, light wood, licorice, chocolates, black pepper, herbs and spices.
Full bodied and soft with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with cherries, red currants, sweet raspberries, coffee, sweet oak, chocolates, licorice, tobacco leaf, herbs, peppercorn, earth and mediterranean spices.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 4 year old Super Tuscan Merlot is drinking very nicely now. Nicely balanced and elegant. Complex and entertaining.
Needs a couple of hours to open up properly, and balance itself out.
Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years.
Wine Spectator 94 points.
I had the 2021 vintage a couple of years ago at the winery, and it was much better. The 2022 vintage was not as good as the 2021, so there's that.
Good by itself as a sipping wine, or with food.
100% Merlot grapes were aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
14% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
