Dreamy is the word that comes to mind as the 2018 Vigna la Miccia Marsala Superiore Oro wafts up with a decadent blend of roasted almonds and hazelnuts, complicated by gingery spice and baked peaches. This opens with a pretty inner sweetness and oily textures that are perfectly offset by notes of spiced citrus, cloves, cedar and a bitter tinge of coffee grounds. It cleans up beautifully, ridiculously long and staining yet still fresh, leaving hints of cocoa and butterscotch to linger on the finish. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2024)

Smoke & Cocoa nose! Something funky deep, decaying roses & tar ( if you will).
The palate is bright and rich, with perfect acidity to beckon another sip.
A 13 year old…I bet it has a few more years to go. As one @Delectable Wine reviewer said, we don’t deserve Barolo.
Well, here’s to undeserving enjoyment.
It has that lick your teeth & gums thing.

Medium ruby , wide light pink ruby rim . Quite aromatic on the nose with ripe red cherry , hints of thyme , rosemary and mint , with some wet stones hints . On the palate this has good freshness with vibrant acidity , red cherry and cut herbs along with a light stony , mineral character .
