Château Cheval Blanc

St. Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2000

2000 Cheval Blanc. Soaring palate sensation but also very delicate and fine texture. Still very fresh, great drinking window. A real treat. — 6 days ago

Château Cheval Blanc

Le Petit Cheval White Bordeaux Blend 2023

A definitely richer, broader and longer wine than the previous 2022 - which probably needs longer aging - this 2023 seems like having matched the core of a shot. Aiming to become one of the great whites of the whole region. Lovely minerality and texture. Long and persistent after taste. — 3 months ago

Domaine De Cheval

Grand Cru Classé De Grave Bordeaux Blend 2018

Decanted this for an hour and a half and reserved a glass in the bottle for the second day. These notes are based on the second day, as the flavors seemed to shine through a bit more. On the nose, aromas of blackberry and leather, although had to do quite a bit of swirling to get the aromas to come through. On the palette , beautifully deep flavors of blackberry and black currant coming through, with hints of graphite and cocoa in the background. Tannins seems pretty well integrated with good acidity, although definitely some grip on the finish. Cocoa seems to come through a bit more on the finish as well. Overall really tasty, but seems to be closing down a bit for sure. I have one more bottle, so looking forward to seeing how this tastes in 5-10 years time. — 18 days ago

Les Vignes de Mon Père Côtes du Jura Savagnin

Intensive kaleidoscope of sumo orange, olive oil cake and leaf pile. Motor oil viscosity but featherweight palate. Batard finish. Wow. — 2 months ago

Cheval des Andes

Mendoza Malbec Blend 2022

This is a really serious wine. This year Cheval des Andes has the highest proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon than ever before. And this made it turned out into an incredibly complex and especially deep wine. Wow! Serious and great. — 3 months ago

Bosquet des Papes

A La Gloire De Mon Grand-Père Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2022

Ruby in color with a reddish rim.

Nice nose of fresh red fruits.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with cherries, plums, light oak, chocolates, licorice, coffee, spices, tobacco leaf, light earth and herbs.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Grenache from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Elegant and nicely balanced.

The 2022 vintage was excellent, and it shows. Already drinking beautifully. Very approachable, complex and rich.

The high alcohol is already well integrated. Easy drinking right out of the bottle, and better with airtime.

Still young, and needs 5 years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years. Has good potential to become a 94+ point wine.

Very tasty by itself as a sipping wine or with food.

A blend of 98% Grenache with a touch of Cinsault and Clairette. Grapes from 70 year old vines were aged in large French oak barrels for 15 months. A small production of less than 8,000 bottles.

15.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$80.

Domaine Pierre Usseglio & Fils

Cuvée De Mon Aïeul Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2000

Used the Durand on the cork - soaked to the edge. Decanted for 2 hours.

This wine had some gaminess. Smooth. Fruit was a bit wild and overpowered by the savory flavors.

Paired well with the chicken skewers and onions. Needed complex flavors in the food to pair well.

Good but quite a bit below the Beaucastel
