Golden hay color. Banana, peach, pineapple, honey, apple, pear on the nose. Rich and buttery on the palate. Lychee, vanilla, cream. Distinct palate, but I prefer a less oaky chard. — 2 months ago
Had a fine dining restaurant bartender recommend this to me about 10 years ago. Have tried and enjoyed multiple Pinots since then. But then I have the Meiomi again and wonder why I bother with anything else. Dark cherry, blackberry, mocha, cinnamon, allspice and a hint of oak . . . very smooth. Love it with broiled salmon and shellfish. — 9 days ago
Yum. Aromatic, great structure, good balance between acidity, fruit skin or vegetal complexity, and bright fruit. — 11 days ago
Pear, chard, lemon, and stone. Crisp and fresh with a touch of acidity. — 24 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple of hours. The 2019 “Isosceles” pours a deep ruby color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of dark brambles, crème de cassis, tobacco, Fresno chilis, Mexican chocolate, dry earth and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium. This is a big, powerful wine but it’s fairly balanced. I would drink now though it probably wouldn’t struggle to see past 2029. — 15 days ago
Solid. Middle of the road Pinot — 17 days ago
Oh Failla how I’ve missed you ❤️. I remember my tasting visit on the verandah and Ehren walking in through the front. This was back in 2013 when I was working as an intern for Abe Schoener at The Scholium Project. Magical times, magical wine found in my small Australian hometown. 2021 at $110 Australian and worth every dollar ❤️ — 5 days ago
