This wine is exactly what I think of when I think of a California cab, and this is a compliment. Dark fruit off the bat, I got blackberry and black cherry. I also think this is pretty oaky, which is hit or miss for me, but in this case it gave a night light spiciness. Had a fuller body and good structure. Tannins present but smooth. I feel like this would be a good crowd pleaser as it was good and easy drinking. I bet it would be great with some grilled meats. — 10 days ago

Blend of 83% Syrah, 14% Petit Verdot and 3% Malbec, deep Ruby red color with aromas of black fruits, baking spice and cedar notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and ripe blueberry with pepper, oak, cacao and herb notes. Fine savory tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, oak and spice. Drinking well now, will improve! 2010 James Berry rough by our buddy Rob went up after the 2013 Alban Patrina. Wow, a Syrah blend with plenary of Grenache, it was more elegant and very smooth with velvet mouthfeel and red fruits. Long finish. Lovely evening. — 2 months ago
