Good, not great. — 3 months ago
As advertised; jammy but unsweet opening, robust mouthfeel with a long bold finish of leathery goodness — 8 months ago
Ruby in color with light intensity and a wide reddish rim.
Fruity nose of red currants, cherries, earth, black coffee, chocolates, chalk and light oak.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with red fruits, earth, light wood, spices, coffee, dark chocolates, vegetables, herbs and black tea.
Medium finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very tasty Barbaresco. Easy drinking and elegant, but not as smooth as I expected it to be.
This 5 year old feels like it needs more time in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years. Would be nice to revisit it in 5 years.
This Single Vineyard Nebbiolo is complex and interesting. Good by itself and better with food.
100% Nebbiolo grapes were aged for 2 years in large oak barrels. A small production of only 3,500 bottles.
14% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

Jun 2025: 1 hour intensive aeration, nice aroma, cherry, tobacco, leather, medium body and aftertaste, no sign of aging, will try next bottle in three to five years. Classic and enjoyable. — 2 years ago
Medium ruby , violet ruby rim . Lively and freshly fruited , wild strawberry , red plum , spiced cherry . On the palate more of the spiced cherry , red plum and raspberry notes . Light herbal touch . Quite fresh acidity and slightly gritty tannins . Red cherry , herbal medium length finish . This is showing well but will probably age quite well over the next 5-8 years . Really good freshness with elegance and drive . — 9 months ago

Everything I read said this was one of the more accessible / earlier drinking riservas from 2011. Not sure I agree - or perhaps just missed that earlier window. My earlier bottles (last one a bit under 2 years ago) were more giving.
On cork pop the tannins were quite tightly wound. Decanted 4 hours and starting to give a bit more. The tannins are still quite gripping but the palate and nose expresses nice fruit and earth. Excellent acid. Tons of sediment - decant carefully. I guess try in a few more years? — 15 hours ago
