Great Italian wine from Tuscany with UK team at Pulia Italian restaurant in Borough Market — 8 months ago
An excellent Rosso blend we picked up at Poliziano. It’s from a Tuscan coastal region. Went great with Pizza following a day of racing at Imola. Dark fruits and stewed fruit aromas. Dark cherry, blueberry, and plum on the bud. Little tannin bit and a nice finish. — 2 years ago
Exceptionally rich yet nervy, Lohsa 2013 Morellino di Scansano is certainly cut along the local Sangiovese lines of this DOCG but this is cut of a finer woolen and fragrant cloth true to the Poliziano house whose handsome strength comes through in savory spiced cherries and al dente tannins. A wine to serve with wild boar or crispy duck. — 10 years ago

Nose: fruity, juicy, raspberries, cranberries, grapefruit, also wet stone.
Palette: violet, good florals, good tannins.

Very enjoyable with a steak, and ever so slightly chilled on a hot day. Balance is perfect. — 10 years ago
The wine described is not the wine I consumed. Read the label not the description. Very good great color big rich texture Another excellent example of a 2001 vtge from Italy — 10 years ago
Surprising blend which does not lack in body or flavor, and makes a great deal for the price. Love it as an everyday (good!) table red. — 12 years ago

Solid effort here: deep dark garnet, opaque, wafting cherry & strawberries, florals, herbs, spices and plenty of earthiness - on the palate the fruit is a bit tart, like sour cherry and early season berries, some minerality but loads of sweet soil, leather, mild spice and relatively juicy acidity. this is textbook and well made, solid QPR. prefer this over over-priced chianti classicos — 18 hours ago
