Gorgeous red fruit and texture. Juicy, charming and substantial. Not the most elegant wine here, but the fruit sucrosity is amazing. So pure, so dense, and so delicious. This is Beaune with real stuffing and a big smile. — a month ago
Little kiss of wood, sea air, mineral and finesse. Rich but energetic, sappy and very pure. This has that Boussey thing where the wine feels generous without losing its line. Delicious, clean, and seriously drinkable. — a month ago
Still one of the great alt whites in the world.
N: swirling white and yellow flowers. Almost an echo of tropical fruit.
P: delicious. Clean. Balanced. Juicy. Liquid yellow flowers. Some crunch. Mountain steam. Amazing elegance.
9.5-9.6. Sick value at this price.

Same as the other. Delicious, when it’s on sale 1/2 off at Winn Dixie. — 6 years ago
Barrel sample. Denser than usual. Big mama Volnay. Chewy, dense, and loaded with unreal fruit. This has more body and push than I expected, but the village perfume is still there. Hedonistic Volnay with shoulders. — a month ago
La Voile. Drank by the glass. Really good CNdP. Lots of flavors, deep red berries, herbs on the midpalate. With or without food. Long finish. Some tannins, but smooth. — 8 months ago
Nose is very saline. Some hazelnuts.
Palate is rich. No longer oaky (integrated) but it’s not bashful. Lovely salinity. Very Good balance for a rich wine.
I need to have this with chicken with cream sauce and morels.
This is ready to drink.

Kind of a hint of freshly opened bandaids, tastes dry fruity, and smooth. — 6 years ago
Wow, what a nose. Wood shop, mineral, lemon, classic Meursault depth but the acidity is screaming in the best way. So fresh, so precise, and the lemony finish just drives and drives. 9.5 for me. This is a killer bottle. — a month ago
A beautifully elegant fruit forward wine using the grapes from Stanners’ own vineyard & blending them with the grapes from Devil’s Wishbone. The first taste is restrained & austere before the fruit bursts forward.
Prince Edward County remains the best spot in Canada for show stopping Pinot Noir. — 6 months ago
Oh this is glorious I am gaga over 2021 red burgs. All bangers all the time. Deep aromas of early to mid season cherry, spices and lots of. dried rocks like limestone. Big time limestone. This is ultra transparent. Some fresh pink rose petals as well. Wow. What a palate. Nimble and ultra refined but substantial tannins. Wow this is fantastic. Palate is all early to mid season cherry fruit with silky and furry tannins. So juicy. Needs air but it is all there.
Now after air the nose is an intoxicating perfume of roses and early season cherry. Stunning palate with gorgeous sweet fruit and so linear. 9.3 to 9.4. — 2 years ago
