Revelatory Montepulciano with Italian essence but Bordeaux character. Medium bodied with earthy fruit and restrained tannins, combined with notes of leather and cedar box and a hint of soy sauce. Mouthwatering food wine; the 2013 vintage is definitely ready to enjoy now. First glass was at Mother Wolf in LA (date night with Dreama) and most recently a bottle at home with my own beef stroganoff on a Sunday night. What a way to top off the weekend! — a month ago

Crisp, tight dark red fruit that initially hid the earthy, forest floor flavors. It ultimately all integrated nicely in about an hour. Always an interesting ride with a Barolo. This one was 12 years old so we thought we didn’t need to decant….had to be patient instead. — 6 months ago

2013 vintage. Decanted and tasted immediately and after 30 mins. Reticent nose. Medium-heavy body. Massive flavors and structure. Wouldn’t open it any time soon. Phenomenal now but so so intense. My favorite Brunello and it’s not close. The utmost Burgundian expression of Sangiovese and 2018 Bosco is gorgeous tonight, finessed and seductive, fully open and giving wafting a captivating floral, spice and wild red berry perfume, and a palate that captures a seamless balance of richness and tension with no warmth, just definition.
