always love petit. a little bit funky wet hay nose. — 6 months ago
Cab Sauv dominant Bordeaux blend from Red Mountain. Minerally red stone fruit on the nose. Very smooth, a little funky in the back — 2 months ago
Delicious, great balance and nice structure. Could be mistaken for a nice burgundy. Great balance of earthy and fruity notes. Would probably be better after more time. Also tried the 2022 which was good but too young — 3 months ago
Oak treatment deceives on the nose. Palate displays beautiful weight and texture without gratuitous barrel influence. Butteaux is known for exuding richness, especially in warmer vintages and Piuze delivers without sacrificing acidic tension, fruit purity, and
minerality. Beautiful wine. Decant if drinking now. — 9 months ago
Smoky Red Mountain Syrah. Silty on the nose. Blackberry/raspberry, Acidic and astringent. Might be better with longer decanting. — 2 months ago
Nose: some vegetal as opens.
Palate: tight. Vegetal. Good structure. A bit tart.
