Mölsheim Riesling 2019

Aromatic and so pure.
Honeysuckle, peach pie, a touch of lanolin and mandarin peel. And yet - this is retrained & quite cool. Warm slate emerges.
On the palate this is impeccably balanced, so poised. Juicy, just ripe, with purity of fruit and amazing tension. Finishes off with a slightly creamy mouthfeel (very Burgundian!) and a beautiful long mineral finish.
Drinking perfectly right now. Simply delish!

Liaison Pinot Noir 2018

A little VA which blows off. Then a cherry freak show which calms down. Dark and morello cherries. Chalky. 13.5%. Quite rich and a little atypical for E&M. Needs more time to resolve fruit (3-5 years). — 20 days ago

Spätburgunder Rosé 2021

Fruity, austere, and wild. One of the few Rose's you could spot in a lineup - distinct E&M natty twang in a lucid cherry crimson glow, a little bit candied, sour, and herbaceous.

Wild sour cherry, strawberries and cream, and dark green rosemary.

Ernst Loosen Pfalz Pinot Noir Rosé 2023

I’m baaaack! I’m sure no one missed me but I’ve been off the app for a while. Lots of life happening. So. Decided to jump back on due to a new to me Rose’ that I discovered. Germans can make wine! This is a wonderful deck wine with all types of food or by itself to celebrate the end of a long day. Everyone has described this wine spot on. For me though I get a slight hint of cinnamon on the end and the acidity is primo with smoked meats or a nice charcuterie! Love finding new gems! Enjoy. PS. I love this super-chilled but it is good at room temp as well. Thanks for putting up with the amateur!!! — 7 days ago

Graacher Himmelreich Kabinett Riesling 2011

Drank this bottle over a week, no decline whatsoever. Cristal clear, lemony saltiness, all about finesse and balance. One can cellar this for at least 10 years to come. — 24 days ago

Baden Pinot Noir

After Mr. L. F. scarred the shit out of me on the 17‘ Enderle & Moll‘s. I took a look at the Basis wine. And guess what it’s pretty good! Rosé like color. Orange zest on the nose. Tons of acid so some folks might take a step back. Then morello cherries and back palate herbs. Touch band aid. Could run for another 3-5 years. Not one of their top efforts but not bad either. Needs tons of air. — 17 days ago

If you ever knew what happened to make these wines drinkable you’d have a whole new appreciation for this estate. 17 was so difficult!

Müller 2019

This - drink now wine was really not made for aging - !!!! was lost in my cellar. I have no system whatsoever and like surprises. Lots of acidity. Faint kerosine notes like in an aged Riesling. Lemon curd. Meyer lemon. Crushed partially oxidized apple pulp. After 1 hour and reaching RT profound apricot flavors and a touch bitter. A great wine for an at the time a ridiculous low price. I think this is not made any more. — 23 days ago

The beat riesling I have found yet. It's crisp, refreshing. Not overly sweet or dry the perfect balance. — 20 days ago
