2013 J. Schram Blancs - 87% Chardonnay, 13% Pinot Noir. Schram Blancs are aged for 8 years on the yeast in their historic Diamond Mountain caves. This wine can be served as an aperitif or enjoyed with food. Definitely some toasty brioche and lemon curd happening. Easy to smile about this one when it gives you fantastic zippy acidity and elegance, both at the same time.
Who knew I would enjoy champagne and sparkling wines this much?! Oh has my palate evolved.

Super yummy. Awesome sparkling wine using Pinot Noir grapes. Cellared by Schramsberg for 8+ years. February 2023. — 3 years ago
Minor leagues compared to the J Schram or the Billecarte but nothing stopped the two of us from polishing off this magnum on Friday night. No regrets come Saturday morning. — 7 years ago
Popped and poured. This is actually 86% Chardonnay with Pinot Noir making up the balance. Despite the same 8-year tirage as the “Noirs”, this comes across quite a bit fresher with less of the funky oxidative notes and more of the richer, rounded fruit. White peach, lemon meringue, brioche and minerals. Very nice indeed. — 3 years ago

This isn't the orange wine but a predominantly gruner veltliner 70%,Saint laurent, merlot, rosler. It's a zero zero wine nothing added or taken. Liking the results better on the 2nd day. Savory & sassy it has zip & is not a fruit bomb. — 3 months ago
