Fattoria Poggio di Sotto

Rosso di Montalcino Sangiovese 2019

Juicy and vibrant. Red/dark fruit dominate but there is also earthy flavours and the unmistakeable old world musty library book thing. Silky. Firm but well integrated tannins and high acidity. Great food wine. Better in 5 years. — 6 months ago

Poggio alle Mura Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2018

Deep Ruby color with berry fruit, fragrant spice and earthy cedar notes. On the palate flavors of black cherry, plum, and cacao with notes of floral spice. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending with fruit, tobacco and cedar wrapped in an earthy herb mineral spice character. Starting to drink well now, will age. — 7 months ago

Le Mortelle Poggio alle Nane Maremma Toscana Cabernet Franc Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

9.2

Very good. At this moment in time not much difference between this and the 2020 Tignanello that we drank next to it. Same style. This one being much more open and less backbone, the Tignanello needs more time with more to come. — 25 days ago

Very long finish. I woke up in the middle of the night and could still feel the moment. Licorice and much more — 4 months ago

Poggio alla Sala

Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Sangiovese 2019

Very pretty color of ruby with medium intensity.

Fruity nose and medium in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity.

Showing red cherries, blueberries, plums, raspberries, spices, light oak, dark chocolates, peppercorn, herbs and light earth.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 5-year-old Sangiovese from Montepulciano is already drinking nicely.

Elegant, spicy and tasty with a nice mouthfeel.

Nicely balanced and tangy. Good by itself or with food.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

$30.
