The one thing I get from this wine w/ this age is cognac notes and the 07 is just starting cognac notes on the long set. Still, rounded, medium plus, velvety tannins.

The fruits are ripe, juicy, lush; blackberries, black raspberries, black plum skin, darkest cherries, & red cherries on the long set, strawberry hues. Chocolate/ cake/pudding/mousse, dark berry cola, mocha, dark chocolate, caramel, dark spice, nutmeg, clove, vanilla, anise core to black licorice, dark spice w/ palate heat, dry, crush rock, limestone powder, dry top soil, dry twig, liquid, dry herbaceous notes, fresh to withering; dark, red, slightly blue flowers framed in a field of violets & lavender, round, summer rainfall with a softly tensioned state, tall structure, well balanced, finely but deeply knitted & evenly polish finish that is nearly endless.

If you can have patience, Tapestry is one of the best Napa Cabernet for the money & this one has plenty of life ahead. 10 plus years.

God these are such beautiful wines. Floral beyond belief, with such a precise, finely woven tapestry of a bouquet. Settles and spreads on the tongue like molten taffy, ever so subtle rs cloaked in vigorous minerality and a great swath of satsuma mandarin and yellow peach acids. — 2 years ago

A tapestry of luscious dried fruit: figs, apricots, raisins, and prunes, all wrapped up in a soft yet very thick velvety mouthfeel. There are hints of cloves, caramel and even tobacco on that linger on the pállate. Well worth waiting for 58 years!! — 3 years ago

For solid, fairly-priced Bordeaux blends from Napa/Sonoma, the Mariner and BV Tapestry are my picks.
The ‘18 is ripe, dark, and juicy and lots of herbal elements. Supple tannins. Long savory finish.
Should have a good 8-10 years life ahead.

Delightful. For a 20 year old wine this certainly surprised with its freshness. Velvety smooth at this point and just a rich treat of dark fruit and soft tannins, some primary fruit remaining amongst a tapestry of secondaries. Really doing well for what was a cheap wine at the time. — 2 years ago

Effortless, silky, seductive, and quietly powerful. The nose gives off strong tapenade/black olive to start, then settles into deep dark fruit, tar, and provencale herbs. Smoky, complex, and very long. The silky tannins weave in and out of the tapestry of dark fruit. The fruit is so pure and complex - you can taste the vine age. A complete tapestry on the palate. A perfectly woven balance of the right fruit, the right heat, the weight. Cocoa, tobacco, stewed plum, rich winter spice and a very subtle hint of rhubarb. Spectacular. A true shame Tyler stopped producing. — 2 years ago

Took a looong time to open. Once it did it was classic Napa cab. Excellent earth/chocolate after >4 hours. Still, there’s a plushness lacking. Very good, but we liked the recent BV tapestry we had better. Open to other user’s opinions. — 4 years ago
