Unusual. Delicious. Excellent minerality, nice heft and mouthfeel. There is a fruit coming through that I can’t quite identify. And some baking spices, but not oak or vanilla. It’s very nice and moves from a floral aspect through a pithy citrus and into a nice tail. — 9 days ago
Splendid earthy aroma, bit dried herbals, tarragon and sage on the nose. Juicy and delicious acidity on the mid-range palate.
Goes wonderfully with red sauce pasta and obviously pizza. A solid crowd pleaser! — 5 months ago
So I drank two bottles of bdx side by side this weekend. This, fourth (!) wine of '20 Angelus and Les Cruzelles '18 from the Durantou family. Both a Pomerol blend of merlot and cabernet franc. I liked this the most and I give this a 92 for sheer pleasure and unbeatable qpr. The cab franc gives this just the right amount of of medicinal herbs to keep things moving on the palate. A serious, balanced and complete big(ger) wine that is drinking well already at three years after bottling. Bought a sixpack at around 20€ a bottle. Will stack this if this comes along from a decent future vintage. — 2 months ago

2018 Vintage: shockingly approachable right out of the gate. The tannins were nicely integrated and there was a richness and “heft” to the palate that reminded me of Chambertin…but this is most certainly Barolo and not Burgundy — 11 days ago
