Château dates back to 1560, records suggesting back to 12th century making it one of oldest estates in the heart of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC region near Avignon. Ruby with aromas of red fruit. Blend of about even amounts Grenache, Syrah, Mouvèdre & splash of mostly Cinsault. Aromas of berry fruits, oak & sweet spice. On the palate flavors of raspberry, cherry & blackberry, hints of oak, leather, vanilla spice & black pepper, aged in 20% new oak, complex & elegant, fine soft tannins, long finish, will age well. — 3 months ago
I keep coming back to this one. Had it with a spicy chicken and broccoli stir-fry while listening to a live recording of Radu Lupu playing a Bach prelude & fugue (BWV 867). Each made the others more enjoyable. — 8 months ago
2021 vintage. Mount Veeder used to (generally) be a mountain fruit pushover until the last two decades. That has changed. Mt. Brave been killing it for some time and this is no exception. A token trace of richness up front but quickly swept into mid and post-palate tannins. Grippy but not overtly so. 10.09.24. — 2 months ago
Beautiful mountain Cabernet - approachable but better in a few years — 4 months ago
Really a lovely Bordeaux style blend from Sullivan in Napa. I am biased as I spent a summer working there. Quite seamless, some nice cassis, has really come into balance. Bit of that very nice menthol laced acid refreshing note on the finish. Delicious and wonderful pairing with steaks on the grill. — 8 months ago

Pale. Lychee and petrol nose. Lots of apricot on the palate. High-minus acidity. Love it. Best when freshly open and chilled. Neither air nor warming to room temp does it favors. — 23 days ago
