Almost opaque, light brickish scarlet. Smokey, dried savory cherry notes…. Gorgeous balance between acid and fruit. Hard to keep from crushing the entire glass. The finish goes on for 90 seconds and makes me smile. Marcella Hazan’s Bolognese is near perfection and works so well with the mountain-grown Nebbiolo. — 8 months ago
Selfridges feiyu - smoky, bubble gum / banana, typical Beaujolais wine, low sulphate, natural fermatation, works well chilled ( only works with low tanning wine) — a month ago
Why can’t all California “red blends” be like this? Full bodied and jammy but highly drinkable, even on its own. Lots going on here: black fruit, leather, vanilla, cloves. The finish is a little short but that’s my only complaint. Outstanding value. — 5 months ago
"Beautiful deep ruby in colour, the intense nose releases blackberry, raspberry, ripe plum, cranberry and hints of chocolate, vanilla and a slight earthy note. The palate delivers a complex mix of ripe red and black fruit, exotic spice but also a farm yard earthiness that works very well with the oak infused vanilla notes." — 2 years ago

The Paso Robles Cab which is standing up to the Napa latest and greatest and a young gun at that. The nose is mossy, musty with underlying fruit and spice notes. The mouthfeel is meaty, chewy, gamy almost, with a ripe fruit coating the palate, medium minus acidity, high alcohol, dry, it’s got a short finish with notes of dark chocolate and licorice… It works! Avant-garde-ly in away: hot climate Cab done right. — 2 years ago

Primarily a Blend of Syrah (78%)and Petite Syrah (21%) with token amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel blended in. Dark ruby color with purple highlights. Nice aromas of blueberry, lavender and smoked meat. Bramble berry fruit leads the palate along with touches of black pepper, dark chocolate and smoky oak. Luxurious and velvety finish. Full bodied, generous, bold and luscious. Part of Capital Grille’s 2024 Generous Pour Program. — a month ago
