I really like this wine. It is a little on the sweet side but I dont like reds that are too dry — 5 years ago
I love Veronica Ortega’s grip on Mencia, delicious wine goes with any food and on its own. — 7 years ago
Muito bom, acompanhado de um queijo bem salgado! — 7 years ago
Gorgeous SB from Lokoya being enjoyed atop of the world at their private Guest house Villa. Enjoying every second of this evening with my gorgeous wife & incredible friends Kirk and Veronica Alexander. It was enjoyed with a Salman Tartare with Melon, citrus, avocado and homemade savory granola. Every dish this evening is being prepared by Chef Tracey Shepps Cenami and served by the most gracious Carol Jackson. We are truly blessed to be atop of the world enjoying these culinary delights with our new friends!!!! Everyone needs a friend as a chef!👏👏👏👏👏👏
The intraday showed crisp green notes and ethereal lightness. Amazing! @Kirk Alexander . — 8 years ago

Is decent but it is missing some character and definition..! — 5 years ago
Started off with sour cherry, lavender and the unmistakable smell of motor oil on a driveway. The mouthfeel was dry and minerally, but elegantly so, with a beautiful finish that balanced fruit and tannins. We paired it with steak but this would go well with anything. — 6 years ago
Absolute premiere Pritchard Hill fruit. I don’t like it...,.............I Love it! 🎤 @David L
😘.
Badass in a Glass to say the least. Jonathan is the coolest, most down to earth and Estate manager that you will ever meet. We tasted there this week as many of you know and his Hospitality is 2nd to None!!!! We arrived at 1pm and left at 5:30!!!!! The owner, Manuel, is badass to say the least. He came in at the beginning of our tasting, then 1/2 through and joined us for the remainder of the evening! Our dear friend, Veronica Pedro, with whom we hung out with for the week is from Portugal and so is Manuel! Salt of the Earth and as kind & hospitable as you can find anywhere in Napa. @Howard Greenfield Mr. Napa-> I’ve got to hook you up with them. They get it and aren’t afraid to show it! They have a Lineup which is insanely opulent. You would absolutely adore them. Their Chardonnay is insanely awesome. One of my favorites. It’s Opulent Melka at his best.
Forgive me., I’m rambling on reminiscing of our incredible time there.
Look them up if you haven’t had them. I swear by them and so will @Kirk Alexander
It was so good that we wanted to taste it AGAIN once we were home 😍😘😘😍.
Enjoying phenomenal wine with family is what it’s all about. Thank Gandona for the amazing experience ☝️
Nuf said!! 🙌👏👏👏🙌☝️☝️☝️

Expressive nose, red fruit, tea, a metallic, blood like, hint. A bit of volatile acidity. Fine texture and tannin. Darker in the mouth, liquorice, chocolate, the aftertaste is front palate driven, miss some more acidity. — 7 months ago
Wow. Thank you John and Veronica! Light fruit aromas, nearly opaque brick/orange. Still significant fruit and ideal residual sugars — 5 years ago
Random purchase, comes across a more serious take on Godello, perhaps terroir? More firmness, lengthy, and the spine of acid really drive it start to finish. Ripe asian pear, quince, lilacs, salt and white rocks.great texture. — 7 years ago
Per Veronica at St Anselm. 2017. Served cold. Strawberry color and taste. Nice acid. Citrus finish. Perfect for mackerel and for rare. lamb loin. — 7 years ago
This was delicious. Drank with Veronica came into town. — 7 years ago

This is the third vintage of Tormenta (which Delectable recognizes as “Anfora & Barrica”); a wine made from an old clone of Godello sourced from a tiny vineyard in north Bierzo. Veronica ages this wine in a combination of oak vessels and amphora.
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several hours. The 2023 “Tormenta” pours a pale straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of green apple, Comice pear, white flowers, lemons, gravelly earth and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finish is long and saline. Reminds me a bit of Raúl but it certainly has its own personality too. Drink now through 2035. Bottle No. 2889/4245 — 12 days ago
