Great, lively, concentrated gamay. Ruby colour/deep purple. Open black cherry nose. A fresh and tender mouth, with a great aromatic concentration developing aromas of rose petals, iris, undergrowth and peppery notes. A beautiful Beaujolais wine vinified in Burgundy style. Good guard potential.

Superbe gamay concentré et vif. Robe rubis/pourpre profonde. Nez ouvert cerise noirs, griotte. Bouche fraîche et tendue, avec une grande concentration aromatique développant des arômes de pétales de rose, iris, notes sous-bois et poivrée. I had to carefully decant this, as it had a lot of that light, floaty sediment that starts zooming around if you even look at the bottle the wrong way. It’s got a light color, and loads of tangy cherry/ berry fruit, accented by a musky floral note and some stony minerality. In the mouth, it’s quite fluid and gulpable. Bone dry, but with nice pure fruit and lingering minerality. Deceptively complex. — 7 years ago
