Palate: sweet lemon. Lemon pith. Massive mineral soak on the finish.

Man. This is fantastic. Crazy pfalz minerality.

Absolutely my current favorite German Weissburgunder. Stunning nose of electric lime, green apple, pear, phyllo dough and so much more as it airs. This is ultra complex and salty as well. Just a stunning nose that vibrates on its own plane. Layered and so vivid it’s almost in technicolor. Maybe a 9.7 nose. Wafting minerality. Just unreal and so so deep. Almost a 9.8 nose. What a palate. Almost perfect in its balance of pure crystalline fruit and a skoche of richness that adds so much. Unreal density without weight and elite complexity and finesse. Superb concentration that gets to every nook and cranny of the palate. Finish is sweet lime and salty as can be. So pure and balanced. Just incredible. Terrific energy and structure and such a nice balance between richness and crystalline purity. As this airs the nose has intense spice and smells like God’s seltzer. So rich and energetic at the same time. The contrast is what makes this remarkable. What a finish. On day 2 via for so fleshy and lush without losing its nerve or energy. Unreal. — 7 months ago
