Mmm, delicious. Altesse is likely my favorite Savoie white. While I live how Jacquere can almost have this ethereal quality to it, very pure mountain air kind of feel, Altesse brings this weight and depth which is really intriguing. This 2016 is just starting to show a little oxidation, but in a gracefully aged sort of way. Apple skin, delicate white flowers, slight brioche, lemon zest and loads of minerality on the finish. Fresh and lovely Roussette, I have had a bad habit of holding some Savoie whites too long (10+ years), this bottle is in a great place, should age for 3-5 more years, but beautiful right now, lovely acidity and medium-weight, with very nice texture!! — 9 months ago
