Cherry aroma and accents, medium body, silky, with semi-sweet finish. Paired well with filet. — 6 months ago
Pure, bright colour. Crazy, as it always is with these wines, that this is fifteen years old. It could be three. The nose is a recognisable medley of macerated cherry, nutmeg, vanilla, with a presiding aroma of freshly juiced blood orange. The palate has flecks of blackcurrant to go with the more cherry-like flavours.
Concentrated, juicy and long on the finish, this is a great vintage for Tondonia that will far outlive the 2007 and ‘09. — 2 years ago
Fruity aroma. Concentrated. Smooth. Still tannic. More years or decanting makes it much better. 2009. @2400, Kping - PEnoteca, 230601-230729 — 2 years ago
Blueberry and blackberry taste, leather aroma, very smooth — 5 months ago
Pop and pour easy. Room filling aroma, full bodied with balanced acidity and tannins with fruit and spice. Moderate finish. — 5 months ago
Deep ruby color, medium plus intensity with aroma characteristics of black cherry, red plum and charred wood. Also some blackberry and clove on the palate. Medium plus acidity & medium tannins. High alcohol. Medium plus body and finish. Very good, drink or hold. — 2 years ago
This will please some garnacha fans, though I can’t say it’s my ideal Reserva blend. 78% Tempranillo and 22% garnancha, which seems like way too much. Has a sweaty sock aroma that blends with some cherry and vanilla flavors. Almost like a tart cherry pie. The cherry flavors continue throughout with some chocolate and a bit of caramel. Round and silky, and seems loosely structured. Just slightly less dimensional than I would want. — 3 years ago
Alessandro Dalle Carbonare
Wow. What a deep and complex story here. Very serious and austere, as usual. But this guy is gonna reveal so much interesting aroma with some evolution. — 2 months ago
