The nose is phenomenal. — 2 years ago
This nose is it. Palate is insane. So perfect. The energy combined with the red fruits, wild flowers, herbs and the most amazing sweet, ripe and red fruited velvet tannins makes this one of the best Pinots of the trip. Potential to be a 10.0 in a decade or sooner. — 6 months ago
Gorgeous aromas. Mid season sweet cherry fruit, spices, some gorgeous sweet oak, wet earth, florals and aromas that penetrate deep in the nasal cavity. Almost some barely ripe blackberry and cassis. Really a whole world of difference than last August. Just silly good aromas. Palate is ripe and juicy with a lithe, silky texture. Awesome purity and balance and such haunting delicacy. Sweet fruit and so nimble this is shockingly great. I vastly underrated this last time. Sweet, lithe and ripe tannins. This is stunning and achingly beautiful. 9.6 for now. Let’s see what air does to this. — a year ago

Nose: elegant. Fresh cut hay. As it opens mountain air.
Palate: seashells. Lemon zest. See t minerals. As it opens gods lemon juice.
Needs air. 44 minutes.
As it opens. Salivatory. So good. So distinctive.
This is an iconic Swiss wine. It’s up there with great burgundies. But so different.
