Strong odor mild taste pleasant all around not too dry but on the dryer side aroma of whites from tuscany with more salinity and mustiness — 8 months ago
Started out closed, and smelling like a lumber yard. But with an hour or so of air, its Oregon roots start to show. Still shows significant but high quality toasty oak, together with sappy cherry fruit and earthy/sweet spices. In the mouth it’s balanced, with loamy, ripe fruit, crushed gravel, and a bit of black tea. Good concentration and length. The tannins are very soft. — 2 years ago

I keep coming back to this one. Had it with a spicy chicken and broccoli stir-fry while listening to a live recording of Radu Lupu playing a Bach prelude & fugue (BWV 867). Each made the others more enjoyable. — 7 months ago
A big surprise, gorgeous yet smooth red Grenache mixed with Syrah. Dry well done. From the old vine, southern Rhône territory, this bottle of cairanne is a must try. Dark fruits with spices, herbs and licorice. Go for it. YOLO! — 2 years ago
Beautiful mountain Cabernet - approachable but better in a few years — 3 months ago
Really smooth! Bought at grant park market. — 7 months ago
"a fierce, brave, velvety wine with intense black fruit and hints of vanilla and a niece leading to a long bold finish". Excellent CA Can, recommended to me by the HEB in-store wine consultant. Superb wine — 2 years ago

2021 vintage. Mount Veeder used to (generally) be a mountain fruit pushover until the last two decades. That has changed. Mt. Brave been killing it for some time and this is no exception. A token trace of richness up front but quickly swept into mid and post-palate tannins. Grippy but not overtly so. 10.09.24. — a month ago
